Position Summary
As a Scholastic Sales Associate and PIT Member, you will help schools celebrate student milestones, support territory growth, and work closely with local leadership to build strong relationships with administrators, students, and parents. This role combines sales, relationship-building, and entrepreneurial development—ideal for candidates seeking long‑term ownership opportunities.
Primary Objectives
Drive growth within your assigned territory, expanding both existing and new business.
Build long‑term partnerships internally and with school communities.
Exceed performance metrics through collaboration with corporate and local leadership.
Develop a personal business plan that aligns with your long‑term career goals.
Submit weekly activity reporting that supports territory strategy and sales execution.
Core Responsibilities
Increase sales across multiple product lines in both new and established markets.
Deliver engaging presentations to students, parents, and school decision‑makers.
Cultivate trusted business relationships to strengthen customer loyalty.
Attend scheduled sales and technical training sessions, including regional and national conventions.
Visit assigned schools and prospects regularly to meet growth goals.
Create and execute marketing campaigns for accounts and prospects.
Utilize value‑added programs to offer tailored solutions to customers.
Collaborate with lead office representatives to foster a culture of entrepreneurship and support.
Success Indicators
1–2+ years of sales, account management, or related experience preferred (not required).
Proven record of growing or developing sales/business opportunities.
Ability to manage multiple projects and client needs simultaneously.
Strong communication, reliability, and follow‑through.
Competitive and relationship‑driven in a highly dynamic market.
Self‑motivated, organized, and goal‑focused.
High‑impact presentation skills with diverse audiences.
Genuine passion for supporting schools, students, and families.
Education & Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Business preferred.
Relevant work experience may substitute for a degree.
Strong academic background may substitute for work experience.
Physical Requirements:
Daily activity includes but is not limited to lifting, carrying, sitting, grasping, reaching, standing, kneeling, walking, bending, twisting.
Reading, communication, math.
Working at a computer for extended periods of time.
Ability to regularly lift/move up to 50lbs.
Noise level in the work environment is usually moderate to above
