Summary The Body Shop Buffer position will be responsible for performing minor automotive body repairs, color, sand and buff, disassemble and reassemble vehicles to factory standards. Contributes to the success of the team, assists others and requests help when needed.
Responsibilities
Disassemble and Reassemble vehicles
Prep, priming, detailing and tape off windows, molding, etc for refinishing
Wet sand and buff refinished vehicles.
Other duties as assigned
Skills
Experience with priming, auto bodywork use of hand-held power tools Required
Ability to read and write and understand SDS materials Required
Must have good color vision Required
Must be able to speak, read, write, and understand the primary language(s) used in the workplace Required
Excellent written and oral communication skills Required
Requires flexibility with schedule including break times as well as working extended hours, weekends, and holidays Required
Ability to manage priorities and strong organizational, problem-solving, and analytical skills Required
Ability to drive both automatic and straight shift vehicles Preferred
Must be able to work with minimal supervision, work efficiently in a fast-paced environment and have strong interpersonal skills Required
Ability to work cross functionally with the ability to conduct positive interaction communication, skills and strengths Required
Must have a general knowledge of automobile components Required
Education & Experience
High School Diploma/G.E.D Required
Must hold a valid state-issued driver's license without restrictions Required
1 year of experience in automotive painting and bodywork experience Required
Valid Driver's License & Clear MVR Required
