This role is the strategic engine behind our proposal development process, transforming technical inputs from across the organization into compelling, unified narratives that positions Conger to win new work. Beyond proposals, this individual supports the broader marketing mission including strengthening our brand presence through social media, email campaigns, website content, and digital asset management.
This role will allow for strategic influence that will directly impact how Conger shows up in the marketplace, allowing for continued organizational growth.
As the Marketing and Proposal Specialist, you will serve as the bridge between Business Development, Preconstruction, Field Operations, and Marketing. Your work ensures that:
Proposals are complete, compliant, compelling, and submitted on time
Complex technical information is translated into cohesive narratives
Our brand is represented consistently across media, campaigns, and platforms
Content libraries, project descriptions, and team credentials are current and accessible

Key Performance Objectives Proposal development & Pursuit Support (50 – 70%)
Lead the development, writing, and coordination of responses to RFPs, RFQs, and qualification packages.
Synthesize technical inputs from Business Development, Preconstruction, and Operations into unified, persuasive narratives.
Manage multiple concurrent proposals with competing deadlines while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
Coordinate interview presentation materials, ensuring messaging consistency and brand alignment.
Proactively communicate proposal timelines and follow up with contributors to ensure all deadlines are met.
Content Management & Brand Stewardship (10 – 20%)
Maintain and update content libraries, including project descriptions, staff resumes, and photography assets.
Ensure all materials reflect Conger’s brand standards, tone, and reputation for integrity and quality.
Develop long‑form content such as press releases, white papers, and major announcements as needed.
Marketing Operations & Digital Presence (20 – 30%)
Create and publish social media content that highlights projects, team achievements, and industry engagement.
Support email campaigns and website content development in collaboration with the Director of Marketing.
Coordinate project photography and manage digital assets.

Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Journalism, English, or a related field
3+ years of experience in proposal coordination or professional writing, preferably within the A/E/C industry
Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook)
Experience with Adobe Creative Suite, InDesign, or Figma is highly preferred
Ability to quickly grasp construction terminology and translate it for diverse audiences
Writing samples or portfolio demonstrating the ability to craft cohesive, persuasive narratives preferred
