Role Summary We are looking for a driven, people‑first recruiter to join our growing team at Highland Ventures. In this role, you will own full‑cycle corporate recruiting across our portfolio of companies — spanning commercial real estate, restaurant operations, healthcare, and corporate functions. You will partner directly with hiring managers across all business units to identify top talent, build proactive pipelines, and help shape the team that drives our continued growth.
This is a high‑impact, high‑visibility role with direct exposure to senior leadership in a fast‑paced, entrepreneurial environment. The ideal candidate is a self‑starter who thrives on building relationships, moves quickly without sacrificing quality, and brings creative energy to sourcing hard‑to‑fill roles.
Essential Functions
Manage full‑cycle recruiting across all Highland Ventures portfolio companies, with a primary focus on corporate roles in Brentwood, TN headquarters
Partner with hiring managers to understand staffing needs, define role requirements, and develop effective recruiting strategies
Develop compelling job descriptions and candidate‑facing communications to attract both active and passive talent
Build and maintain high‑quality candidate pipelines to reduce time‑to‑fill across all open roles
Proactively source passive candidates through LinkedIn, industry networks, referrals, and other creative channels
Stay current on industry trends, competitive compensation data, and innovative approaches to talent acquisition
Review applicant pipelines and manage sponsored job ad placements and budget
Maintain accurate candidate records and documentation within the ATS
Coordinate and attend local career fairs, recruiting events, and campus partnerships as needed
Review background check results and communicate findings appropriately
Ensure all recruiting and employment activities comply with applicable federal and state regulations
Participate in special HR projects and initiatives as needed
Full‑cycle recruiting expertise across corporate and operational functions
Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Strong sourcing skills with proficiency in LinkedIn Recruiter and ATS platforms
High attention to detail and strong organizational skills
Ability to manage multiple requisitions and competing priorities simultaneously
Relationship‑building mindset with both candidates and internal stakeholders
Ethical conduct and ability to handle confidential information with discretion
Entrepreneurial spirit and flexibility to thrive in a fast‑paced, evolving environment
Position Type and Expected Hours of Work This is a full‑time, in‑office position in Brentwood, TN. Days and hours of work are typically Monday through Friday, 8/9:00 a.m. to 5/6 p.m.
Required Education and Experience
5+ years of full‑cycle recruiting experience; corporate or multi‑industry experience preferred
Experience recruiting across a range of functions (finance, operations, real estate, or similar) a strong plus
Proficiency with Microsoft Office, LinkedIn Recruiter, Indeed, and ATS platforms
