Role & Responsibilities The Strategic Communications Specialist will play a central role in enhancing the visibility and impact of priority UN agendas. Key responsibilities include: Developing and implementing communications strategies to support major UN initiatives and campaigns Crafting compelling messaging, talking points, and media products for broad audiences Engaging with global media outlets, social platforms, and partner networks to amplify UN priorities Producing high‑quality publications, reports, press releases, and multimedia content Coordinating with field offices and UN agencies to ensure message consistency and alignment Providing expert communications advice to senior leadership and task teams The role requires a combination of strategic thinking, writing excellence, media savvy, and digital fluency , enabling the selected candidate to navigate fast‑changing information environments and elevate the UN’s global voice.
