Marketing Intern (Graphic Design Focus)

Sewickley Academy, a small independent Junior Pre‑K–12 private school, is seeking a Marketing Intern to support our marketing and communications efforts. This is an ideal opportunity for an aspiring designer or marketing student seeking hands‑on experience in multiple areas of marketing within a dynamic, mission‑driven environment. Key Responsibilities Intern will gain experience and support projects in the following areas: Graphic Design – Create publications and digital materials, including flyers, social media graphics, event signage, and branded templates Website Updates – Assist with updating web pages, news stories, photography, and calendar items on the school’s website (no coding required) Photography & Video – Capture and edit images and short videos of student life, events, and campus for use across platforms Social Media – Support the planning and creation of engaging content across platforms like Instagram, Facebook, and YouTube Marketing Analytics – Learn how to interpret data from social media, email campaigns, and website traffic to guide future strategies Who We’re Looking For We’re especially interested in students who: Have a strong interest in visual storytelling and design Are studying marketing, communications, graphic design, or a related field Are eager to build a portfolio of real‑world creative work Are detail‑oriented, curious, and collaborative Have experience with Adobe Creative Suite or Canva (preferred but not required) Are available to work up to 20 hours per week on‑site each semester What You’ll Gain An understanding of how marketing functions within an educational setting A portfolio of your creative work used in real campaigns Mentorship and feedback from experienced marketing and communications professionals ARE YOU READY TO JOIN OUR TEAM?
