Position Overview
The Commercial Lines Account Manager provides quality service to existing clients while effectively managing and growing a commercial lines book of business. This position involves building strong relationships with clients, cross‑selling additional policies, and ensuring customer satisfaction to enhance client loyalty and maximize revenue for the agency.
Work Arrangement
This is a full‑time, hybrid position that supports our office in St. Petersburg, FL.
Professional Responsibilities
Manage remarketing, review, and requoting of renewals, ensuring thorough documentation of all actions and correspondence within the management system.
Process and collect insured’s payables, including the creation and management of premium finance agreements.
Maintain and update account information in the management system, including coverage details and premium adjustments.
Identify opportunities to expand client portfolios by recommending additional insurance products to round out accounts.
Review and process policy endorsements and cancellations promptly and accurately.
Handle certificate processing and mortgagee change requests to maintain compliance and customer satisfaction.
Review and respond to underwriting memos, coordinating with underwriters to resolve outstanding issues.
Qualifications And Requirements
1-3 years of experience in account management or customer service roles.
Florida 2-20 Insurance License required.
Preferred experience in the Property and Casualty Insurance industry, specifically in commercial lines account management.
Bachelor’s Degree in Sales, Business Administration, Marketing, or a related field is a plus.
Comprehensive knowledge of commercial lines insurance products, including coverages, policies, procedures, and underwriting principles.
Demonstrated experience in building and maintaining strong client relationships.
Strong organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage daily responsibilities effectively.
Exceptional problem‑solving skills and a persistent approach to achieving successful resolutions.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills to convey information clearly and transparently.
Proficiency in using software systems, including Customer Relationship Management (CRM) tools and Microsoft Office Suite.
