Job Description
Code Development Technical Writer will report directly to the Director of Code Development
Serve as a technical staff writer for all support documents
Develop, issue, and edit technical support documents.
Develop illustrations and drawings for all support documents.
Provide technical support to Code Development Administrators, committees and industry personnel
Develop and execute timelines for publishing of all support documents and ancillary documents.
Work closely with various industries and committees to provide industry specific related reports and information as assigned
Evaluate and recommend new or expanded areas for support documents.
Candidate Requirements
DO NOT APPLY unless you have a BS in Mechanical Engineering and 5+ years of technical writing.
Strong leadership skills and the ability to work with committees and support personnel.
Proficient in technical writing, editing, and research.
Competent in the English language.
Experience writing articles for engineers, training manuals, or ancillary notes.
MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Drawing Software Programs, Illustration Programs or CAD.
