T&T Supermarket Inc. was founded in 1993 with two stores in British Columbia. The company has grown rapidly to become Canada’s largest Asian supermarket chain, operating 37 stores nationwide: 14 in British Columbia, 7 in Alberta, 14 in Ontario, and 2 in Quebec. With continued expansion, the company plans to open additional locations in the coming decades. Now celebrating more than 30 years as Canada’s favorite Asian grocery retailer, T&T Supermarkets has recently expanded into the United States. In 2024, the company opened its first U.S. flagship store in Bellevue, Washington, located at Marketplace at Factoria. Spanning 76,000 square feet, it is the largest Asian specialty supermarket in Washington State. To support its U.S. growth strategy, T&T has also established a regional office in the Greater Los Angeles area to expand partnerships with American food suppliers and strengthen its vendor network in the U.S. The Role Reporting to the Marketing Manager, the Marketing Specialist will focus on in-store communication, retail media initiatives and new store opening. This role supports advertiser development, enterprise account management, and the execution of retail media solutions, while partnering cross-functionally to drive campaign execution, performance measurement, and revenue growth. With strong experience in social media, brand development, and digital marketing. The role will support the planning and execution of marketing campaigns across organic and paid channels, helping to drive brand awareness, customer engagement, and sales growth. This position will also contribute to community outreach and local marketing initiatives. Major Responsibilities: Retail Marketing & In-Store Communication Develop and execute in-store communication strategies (signage, POP, POSM, promotional displays) to strengthen brand visibility, shopper navigation, and product storytelling inside U.S. stores. Work with Design, Merchandising, and Operations to ensure in-store communications reflect local consumer needs, cultural relevance, pricing rules, and compliance requirements. Enhance store-level customer engagement through seasonal campaigns, product education, community initiatives, and experience-driven marketing. U.S. Store Opening Campaigns & Local Activation Lead end-to-end marketing execution for U.S. store openings, including promotional offers, grand opening events, local media exposure, and community outreach. Coordinate customer engagement initiatives such as gift redemption, sampling events, pop-up experiences, and festival activations. Conduct competitive research, market landscape studies, and consumer journey assessments to inform strategy and identify U.S.-specific marketing opportunities. Cross-Functional Alignment & Communications Support communication flow between Operations, Merchandising, Digital, and Store teams to ensure campaign readiness and unified brand expression across stores. Provide store teams with marketing toolkits, visual guidelines, and campaign playbooks to ensure scalable and repeatable execution. Knowledge, Skills and Ability Requirements: Strong understanding of communication, customer journey, and shopper decision behavior. Experience in cross-functional project coordination, and collaboration. Strong analytical capabilities — able to transform consumer insights and market observations into actionable retail strategies. Strong presentation, communication, and stakeholder alignment skills. Proficient in Microsoft PowerPoint, Excel, and digital collaboration tools. Excellent English communication skills; proficiency in Mandarin or Cantonese is considered an asset. Bilingual candidates are preferred. Ownership mindset, cross-cultural adaptability, and passion for elevating T&T’s brand presence across North America. Qualifications Minimum 3–5 years of experience in retail marketing, in-store experience management, or brand activation; experience in the U.S. market is preferred.
