Position Summary Pillar Brands is hiring a Social Media Manager who doesn’t just post — they elevate, animate, and humanize social presence for Pillar and our clients. You’ll manage content calendars, create written, visual, and video content, engage communities, and help brands show up consistently and confidently. You will help shape and execute a voice that resonates with the audiences of our clients. We’re looking for a vibrant, self-starting go-getter who lives on social media, spots trends early, and is eager to experiment with video, visuals, captions, and community sparks. This role owns day-to-day social execution and momentum, with accountability for consistency, quality, and engagement across accounts. If you’re eager, agile, creative, and ready to push social in bold directions with a strong pulse on trends, tools, and audience behavior across platforms. Core Responsibilities Build and manage social media content calendars for Pillar Brands and client accounts, translating brand goals and campaigns into clear, platform-specific strategies. Create, schedule, and publish content across social platforms using management tools, adjusting approach based on trends, performance data, and audience behavior. Write captions, hooks, CTAs, and short scripts that feel native to each platform and align with brand voice. Create graphics and visuals using a mix of AI tools and hands-on design tools. Shoot and edit short‑form video using a phone camera and basic editing software. Experiment with formats, styles, and trends to keep content fresh, relevant, and engaging. Manage daily community engagement including comments, DMs, and replies, actively participating in conversations and monitoring reputation sentiment. Track key performance metrics, report on results, and refine content, posting cadence, and engagement strategy based on insights. Stay current on platform updates, algorithm changes, and cultural trends, bringing proactive ideas and opportunities to the team. Team Relations Collaborate closely with the Marketing Director, Marketing Strategist, and Creative Team to align social efforts with broader campaigns and goals. Communicate clearly and proactively, flagging trends, opportunities, and potential issues. Take ownership of assigned accounts and tasks while remaining flexible and supportive in a fast‑moving agency environment. Contribute positively to team culture through energy, ownership, accountability, and a willingness to learn and iterate. Experience and Qualities 2–5+ years of experience managing social media for brands or agencies. Strong understanding of major social platforms and the unique demands, formats, and trends of each. Demonstrated ability to plan, create, schedule, and optimize social content. Hands‑on experience with content creation, including writing, basic graphic design, and short‑form video shooting and editing. Familiarity with AI tools for content creation, ideation, and design workflows. Skilled at managing multiple accounts and shifting priorities with consistency and attention to detail. Self‑starter mindset with a proactive, energetic, and execution‑first work style. Bonus Experience working with faith‑based or purpose‑driven brands. Portfolio that shows strategic narrative thinking and performance results.
