Codie Sanchez is hiring a Senior YouTube Long-Form Writer who knows how to turn business ideas into high-retention YouTube scripts. This is not a generalist writing role. This is for someone who understands YouTube as a distribution engine, business, and entrepreneurship, and telling powerful stories that connect. You will write 10–25 minute YouTube scripts focused on: Buying businesses Investing Cash flow Acquisitions Wealth frameworks Contrarian takes on money, work, and ownership You must have YouTube credentials. Not just “I like YouTube,” but proof that you’ve written long-form content that: Holds attention Drives comments Builds authority Converts viewers into believers You’ll work directly with our in-house YouTube team and Founder/CEO to help shape some of the most-watched business content on YouTube. What You’ll Actually Do If you worked here this month, you might have: Written a 15-minute YouTube script breaking down why boring businesses outperform tech startups Turned a small acquisition into a narrative case study that holds audience retention Built a repeatable framework viewers reference in the comments Rewritten a script five times to sharpen the first 30 seconds Partnered with editors to improve pacing, payoff, and watch time Key Responsibilities YouTube Long-Form Writing Write high-retention YouTube scripts (10–25 minutes) with strong hooks, clear arcs, and memorable frameworks Structure content for watch time, not essays Bring data-backed ideas to the table and continuously work to evolve the channel Business Storytelling Translate complex topics like acquisitions, finance, ownership into stories people understand, connect with and can apply in their own lives and businesses Audience & Retention Thinking Write with an understanding of pacing, curiosity gaps, and psychological pull Obsess over the first 30 seconds and the roadmap that tells the story Voice & Authority Write in a tone that is sharp, contrarian, intelligent, and earned Help evolve our YouTube voice as the channel scales Speed & Execution Move fast. Hit deadlines. Improve through iteration Treat feedback as fuel, not friction Required Qualifications This role is not entry-level.
