Position Summary
Cold Jet is a dynamic, global manufacturer of environmentally friendly industrial cleaning equipment and manufacturer of dry ice production equipment. Cold Jet's management is very involved in and focused on leveraging the capabilities of Epicor Kinetic to improve efficiency and drive superior customer service.
We are looking for an
Epicor Kinetic Technical Specialist/Developer
to join our ERP team who will play a significant role in these improvement initiatives by maintaining and improving Cold Jet's core ERP and manufacturing business systems. This includes improving business processes, system utilization, training, end-user support, reporting, new capability development, implementation and integration.
Position Responsibilities
Improving System Utilization
Assist in implementing best practices and procedures globally for efficient systems usage. Ensure global best practices are understood, and work with departments for consistent adoption. Investigate unused or underutilized functionality of Kinetic and assist users to take advantage of this functionality. Develop/implement new functions and features Solicit input from users for processes that need improvement to increase efficiency and productivity, and to determine currently unmet needs and find appropriate solutions. Systems Implementation
Develop project plans to implement system releases and new functionality in a timely manner with minimal problems and delays. Manage all aspects of projects to ensure budget and timing. Ensure business systems are integrated where possible. Develop (or facilitate the creation of) clear and comprehensive procedures on how to perform key functions within the application. Ensure testing is sufficient to ensure that implementation occurs with minimal disruption. Training
Deliver training as needed to ensure users are confident and competent in using the applications and following the relevant procedures. Provide additional on-going training as requested or as needed from observed deficiencies. User support
Provide support as needed to end users daily. Collect and evaluate end-user recommendations and development requests. Reporting and Customizations
Work with others to ensure that important information is extracted and presented in a clear and insightful manner to make more informed business decisions. Write reports using SSRS. Develop Kinetic dashboards and queries. Develop and support customizations using BPMs, Functions, and Application Studio Software Selection
Assist in the identification and articulation of the business problems to be solved. Research and evaluate the pros and cons of alternative solutions/software systems. Position Requirements
Education & Experience
BS degree in computer science or information systems, or equivalent combination of education and experience. Extensive industry experience will be considered in lieu of education. Five or more years of experience working with the development and implementation of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) systems in a manufacturing environment. 3+ years of direct development experience with Epicor's Kinetic ERP Skill Competencies
Expert knowledge of Epicor Kinetic ERP and development for Kinetic Proficient in report and dashboard development in Kinetic (BAQ, Dashboard, Data Definitions, Report Styles, and SSRS report creation and modification) Proficient with Epicor's development tools (Functions, BPMs, Application Studio). Jitterbit experience a plus Experience with multi-company, multi-currency implementations of ERP Epicor Kinetic Warehouse, QuickShip, DocStar, Country specific accounting modules, or Advanced Financial modules is a plus Experience with ERP, PLM/PDM and CRM systems and their interoperability SQL Server and C# development experience Understands business best practices as they relate to these systems. Can act as power-user in supported systems Knowledgeable of business processes relating to accounting, engineering, sales and marketing, purchasing, costing, inventory control and shipping/receiving is preferred Exceptional written and verbal communication skills Exceptional project management skills Computer savvy with experience in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and Project) Knowledgeable in SSRS, and performing MS SQL queries
Notes: This position supports global users, especially in Western Europe and periodic work during European business hours is part of this job. Ability to work from our Cincinnati, Ohio area office on a hybrid basis preferred, located is US Eastern time zone required. This is a W-2 employee position, independent contractors will not be considered. Occasional travel required (a few times a year), including potential international travel. Must be eligible for passport. Immigration sponsorship not available for this position. Must be eligible to work in the US for any employer.
