Position Overview Our innovative and growing Swim School is hiring for a Gymnastics Director with Sweet Peas & Small Fish Big Fish. The Gymnastics Director will develop, implement, and oversee the day‑to‑day operations of the Gymnastics programs with support from the Owner, Aquatics Director, and HR (Leadership Team) and Gymnastics team members.

This position is for our brand‑new location in Jensen Beach, FL.

Qualifications

2–5 years teaching preschool gymnastics as an instructor or coach

Superior knowledge of gymnastics skills, mechanics, technique, form and overall participation objectives

Strong work ethic, passionate, high enthusiasm and high energy

Relevant choreography experience with a wide spectrum of gymnastics activities and routines for teaching and special events

Superior interactive skills and experience working with children, parents and the public

Current Pediatric CPR Certification (preferred)

Current Pediatric First Aid Certification (preferred)

6 Early Childhood Education Units (preferred)

Program Development & Management

Participate in the planning, promoting, teaching/staffing and overall success of special events

Be attentive and responsive to department and gym‑wide announcements, calendar items and upcoming events

Assist the Gymnastics Director in meeting the goals and vision of the department

Conduct gymnastics lessons in accordance with program needs and ensure all safety and program ratios are followed

Enthusiastically assist and cooperate in ensuring all classes are adequately covered by substituting when called upon

Ensure controlled class management enabling equitable time for each gymnast for each planned activity

Attend department and gym‑wide meetings

Be flexible with your scheduling and teach classes as requested and substitute for others when called upon

Safety and Risk Management

Conduct routine checks and ensure proper maintenance of equipment and facility

Review gym and facility safety rules with new gymnasts

Implement and follow training requirements in addition to ensuring proper reporting of all incidents/accidents according to risk management procedures

Customer Service and Relationship Management

Serve as a community representative building collaborations based on trust and credibility to advance the Sweet Peas & SFBF's mission and goals

Welcome and encourage members and community in the development of programs and activities

Build relationships with program participants, parents and staff

Initial and continued skills assessment of each gymnast, providing interval feedback to athletes and parents
