Boeing Defense, Space & Security

(BDS) is seeking a Communications Security (COMSEC) Specialist (Mid-Level or Senior) to join the

Government Security

group located in

El Segundo, CA.

This role will be responsible for ensuring Communication Security (COMSEC) compliance in support of multiple programs.Position Responsibilities:Work directly with the Government customer as a COMSEC representative and will be responsible for the management of all procurement, fielding, and sustainment of Crypto/Keying material and devices supporting the programAssist in the tracking, control, and inventory requirements of all Government Furnished Equipment (GFE) and company owned equipmentLead accurate accountability, handling, storage, packaging, shipment, and administration of all cryptographic materials, troubleshooting, software upgrades, ensuring maximum COMSEC safeguards are in place, and configuration management using industry specific databasesOrder and transfer cryptographic keys, collaborating with the Central Office of Record (COR), speaking publicly with sub-contracting locations, and provide changes and trend information to other security team members and managementAssist in the ongoing development, presentation and accurate record keeping of COMSEC security awareness training for all COMSEC usersPerform Cryptographic Network Management (CryptoNet) functionsManagement of COMSEC key, equipment, configuration, distribution, and planning for entire secure networkThe CryptoNet manager will be the sole authority to advise the Central office of Record to release COMSEC Key and CCI equipment for the secure network, regardless of locationSupervise the health and wellness of the secure networks, ensuring all networks are operating on current key, remote management of networks (GEM) to include HAIPE to HAIPE Key TransfersThe CryptoNet manager will validate all cryptographic network requirements, node requirements and accreditations, physical security requirements, and the creation and maintenance of a Key Management Plan (KMP)Build network sustainment and expansion processes, engineer keying

infrastructure/topology,

and ensure all NSA and COR policies are being met and maintainedThis position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite at the listed location.This position requires an active U.S.

Top Secret

Security Clearance (U.S. Citizenship Required). (A U.S. Security Clearance that has been active in the past 24 months is considered active)This position requires a current Tier 5 (T5), formerly known as a Single Scope Background Investigation (SSBI) (U.S. Citizenship required) or requires candidate agreed to enter a Continuous Evaluation program.Basic Qualifications (Required Skills/Experience):Familiarity with Key Management Infrastructure1+ years of experience with Controlled Cryptographic Items (CCI) equipment and associated keying material1+ years of experience with DoD COMSEC principles and Crypto Keymat management policies and regulationsPreferred Qualifications (Desired Skills/Experience):Experience

with NISP, SAP, and/or SCIExperience using COMSEC encryption devicesTypical Education & Experience:Mid-Level: Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 3 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Master +1 years' related work experience, 7 years' related work experience, etc.).Senior: Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 10 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Master+8 years' related work experience, 14 years' related work experience, etc.).Relocation:Relocation assistance is not a negotiable benefit for this position.
