The Company is seeking a Managing Director to serve as its chief external relations leader, with a primary focus on driving revenue growth, strengthening partnerships, and ensuring the organization's financial and operational sustainability. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading a diversified revenue strategy, personally cultivating major gifts, and supervising the development team to meet income goals. The role also involves overseeing marketing and external affairs, managing the annual operating budget, and fostering a positive work environment that aligns with the company's values of equity, diversity, and inclusion. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record in fundraising, strong financial acumen, and experience in leading high-performing teams. They should be adept at building influential partnerships and have a deep commitment to the mission of the company, particularly in the areas of Black storytelling and artistic excellence.
Applicants for the Managing Director position at the company should have at least 5 years' of related experience in theater and/or arts management, or in a mission-based organization. The role requires a leader with exceptional relationship-building skills across various sectors and the ability to collaborate closely with the Artistic Director.
