General Statement of Duties The
Strategic Enrollment Specialist
manages the operational aspects of specialized cohort programs and organizational partnerships that support Denver Seminary’s strategic enrollment initiatives. This position serves as the primary staff liaison for cohort‑based programs, including the Women’s Leadership Cohort, while collaborating closely with faculty program coordinators who oversee mentoring, curriculum development, and academic delivery. The coordinator builds and maintains relationships with partner organizations, manages cohort logistics from recruitment through graduation, and ensures seamless coordination between admissions, marketing, student success, and academic departments to deliver exceptional student experiences within cohort models.
Essential Functions
Oversee operational management of all cohort‑based programs from initial partner contact through student graduation, ensuring seamless coordination between staff and faculty responsibilities.
Serve as primary staff liaison between cohort participants, partner organizations, faculty coordinators, and internal departments throughout the student lifecycle.
Develop and implement standardized processes for cohort recruitment, onboarding, communication, and completion tracking across all specialized cohorts.
Coordinate cohort‑specific Information Sessions, and recruitment events in collaboration with admissions and marketing teams.
Monitor cohort enrollment targets and conversion metrics, providing regular reports to VP of ESS and Director of Admissions on program performance and partnership effectiveness.
Manage cohort‑specific student success initiatives, working closely with the Student Success Coordinator to address unique needs of cohort participants.
Partnership Development and Management:
Identify, cultivate, and maintain relationships with potential partner organizations, particularly in the Denver and Colorado Springs regions, to expand cohort opportunities.
Negotiate partnership agreements working with VP and administration, including tuition benefit utilization ($5,250 organizational benefits) and scholarship coordination.
Serve as primary organizational contact for established partners including Focus on the Family, Compassion International, Young Life, Navigators, El Pomar Foundation, and other institutional partners.
Develop customized recruitment presentations and materials for specific organizational partnerships and cohort programs.
Coordinate organizational site visits, executive briefings, and partner relationship maintenance activities.
Communication and Marketing Support:
Collaborate with the MarCom team to develop cohort‑specific marketing materials, website content, and promotional strategies.
Maintain consistent communication with cohort participants through targeted email campaigns, social media engagement, and personalized outreach.
Create and manage content for cohort‑specific communications including program updates, success stories, and alumni spotlights.
Represent Denver Seminary at partner organization events, conferences, and networking opportunities to expand awareness of cohort programs.
Operations and Administration:
Coordinate with Registrar, Financial Aid, and Business Office to ensure smooth processing of cohort participant applications, enrollment, and payment processes.
Maintain accurate records in Slate CRM, J1 SIS and other institutional systems for all cohort participants and partnership activities.
Develop and manage cohort program budgets in collaboration with VP of ESS, Dean of Students and Director of Admissions.
Coordinate special events, intensives, and capstone projects specific to cohort programs.
Execute special projects and strategic initiatives as assigned by VP, including cross‑departmental coordination and implementation of new enrollment and student success programs.
Coordinate VP calendar management and ESS departmental event planning including staff meetings, team building activities, recognition events, and professional development sessions.
Provide project management support for VP initiatives including board presentations, executive reporting, and strategic planning activities related to cohort programs and partnerships.
Data Management and Reporting:
Track and analyze cohort program metrics including enrollment, retention, completion rates, and partner satisfaction.
Prepare regular reports on partnership performance, cohort outcomes, and program effectiveness for VP and seminary leadership.
Maintain partnership database and communication logs to ensure consistent relationship management.
Education/Training
Bachelor’s degree required in Business, Marketing, Communications, or related field.
2-3 years of experience in higher education, nonprofit management, relationship management, or partnership development preferred.
Experience with CRM systems, particularly Slate, preferred.
Strong project management and organizational skills with ability to manage multiple concurrent initiatives.
Excellent written and verbal communication skills with professional presentation abilities.
Experience in customer relationship management or partnership development.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Google Workspace, and social media platforms.
Understanding of higher education enrollment processes and student success frameworks.
