POSITION SUMMARY
The Graphic Design Intern will support the creation and execution of visual assets across digital and print channels, contributing to marketing campaigns, tenant communications, events, and Observatory promotions. Working closely with the marketing and events teams, the intern will assist with layout development, photo editing, brand asset management, website graphics, and production preparation while ensuring all materials align with established brand standards. They will gain hands‑on experience in a fast‑paced design environment, participate in brainstorming and research efforts, and help ensure the quality and consistency of ESRT’s visual identity.
Full‑time: 40 hours per week from June 1st, 2026 until August 7th, 2026
Location: Onsite at 111 W 33rd Street, New York NY
RESPONSIBILITIES
Assist in creating visual assets for both digital and print applications, including advertisements, social graphics, presentations, renderings, brochures, icons, and signage
Support the development of design layouts for e‑blasts, invitations, elevator screens, posters, and tenant communications
Help maintain and organize ESRT’s library of brand assets, imagery, templates, and design files
Ensure all design materials align with established brand guidelines and visual identity standards
Assist with photo editing, retouching, file formatting, and preparing artwork for production
Collaborate with the marketing and events teams on creative needs for campaigns, broker events, Observatory promotions, and internal initiatives
Contribute to brainstorming and concept development for multimedia content
Support ongoing website updates requiring graphic adjustments or image optimization
Conduct design research, including trend analysis, competitive audits, and layout inspiration
Help manage vendor coordination for print production and other creative deliverables
Assist in quality control reviews of both digital and printed materials
Provide general administrative and organizational support, including archiving, reporting, and project documentation
REQUIRED SKILLS
Strong proficiency in Adobe Creative Cloud (Illustrator, Photoshop, InDesign) required; After Effects or Premiere a plus
Strong visual design skills and understanding of composition, typography, layout, and color theory
Excellent attention to detail and commitment to delivering high‑quality work
Strong written and verbal communication skills
Ability to work both independently and collaboratively within a creative team
Self‑motivated, organized, and eager to learn
Integrity and a commitment to excellence
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE
A Junior enrolled in a four‑year or five‑year undergraduate program in the graduating class of 2027 is preferred
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer
Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds at times

Salary is based on several factors including but not limited to education, work experience, job location, size of property where applicable, and/or certifications. In addition to your base salary, ESRT provides discretionary annual bonuses.
