Intern I – Community Engagement

ROLE IMPACT
This internship supports the Airport Relations and Community Engagement team by strengthening connections between the airport and its stakeholders. The Intern I will assist with outreach initiatives, event coordination, and research projects that enhance communication, transparency, and community partnerships. Success in this role means delivering accurate materials, supporting well‑executed events, and maintaining organized stakeholder data that improves engagement efforts.
Key Responsibilities
Participate in site visits and meetings with tenants, concessionaires, community members, and stakeholders
Assist with event planning, community meetings, and outreach activities
Conduct research on aviation industry trends, airport marketing, and communications best practices
Prepare presentations and communication materials for internal and external audiences
Compile and maintain accurate contact lists and stakeholder databases for notification and outreach projects
Minimum Qualifications
Current high school junior or senior in good academic standing pursuing aviation, communications, community engagement, or a related field
Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
Strong written and verbal communication skills with the ability to interact professionally with staff and public officials

Prior work or volunteer experience in community engagement, outreach, real estate, or a professional office environment
