Bath Charter Township is seeking a Level III Assessor to fulfill our assessing departmental operations. While the Township is required to maintain a Level III on staff, we strongly encourage Level II candidates to apply. Bath Charter Township, population (13,224), is located in southeastern Clinton County, just minutes from Michigan State University. The community is blessed with plenty of lakefront and a small town congenial feel. Residents can spend the morning hiking trails, the afternoon on Park Lake’s sandy beach and the evening on campus taking in world-class theater performances. Bath Charter Township is at the crossroads of small town charm, lakefront, hiking trails, a nature preserve, MSU Athletics and Michigan’s State Capitol.

Our next Assessor will oversee 4,043 parcels and maintain the integrity and accuracy of the assessment tax rolls. Other duties include administering Principal Residence Exemptions, maintaining aerial and parcel maps, processing land division applications and reviewing all deeds to reflect proper ownership.

Requirements include possessing, and maintaining, a minimum Level II certification with a preference for Level III certification. Must bring a positive customer service focus and support the existing culture of Bath Charter Township.
