Graphic Designer II .
Position Summary Creates final mechanicals with attention to composition, color, typography and visual impact.
Position Responsibilities
Designs and executes mechanicals, based on client specification, brand standards, budget constraints and final format needed for file output
Determines size and arrangement of illustrative material and copy, selects style and size of type, and arranges layout based upon specs and aesthetic design concepts
Presents sample to Creative Director for approval
Provides final pre‑flight of digital files that are delivered to clients and vendors to ensure the accuracy of the completed project
Reviews proofs for highest levels of quality and accuracy
Uses a wide range of media, including photography
Keeps abreast of developments in marketing and advertising environments
Contributes ideas and design artwork to the overall brief
Other duties as assigned
Requirements Role Qualifications
Must be able to effectively execute design solutions against a creative brief to meet constraints of cost, time and client needs
Must work well in a team, with printers, copywriters, photographers, proofreaders, other designers, account executives, website designers and marketing specialists
Essential Skills And Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Digital Graphic Design, Advertising or Marketing, or 3 to 5 years’ experience in a related field required
Proficiency in the entire Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator) and Microsoft applications as well as Sketch, and Figma
Ability to execute files using Microsoft Office applications such as SharePoint, PowerPoint, Word and Excel
Thinks creatively to produce new ideas
Ability to think visually and to envision a project from beginning to end
Must be able to solve complex problems, make judgments and decisions, and think logically and critically
Ability to multitask while meeting tight deadlines
Produces accurate and high-quality work
