Role Description The Professional Relations Specialist will play a key role in building and maintaining relationships with referral sources and community partners. This full-time role, based on-site in Maryland, New York, involves identifying new opportunities for collaboration, organizing outreach events, providing education on the center’s services, and serving as a liaison between the center and external stakeholders. The specialist will promote Ikon Recovery Center’s mission and ensure alignment with its values of care and support.
Qualifications
Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills, with the ability to establish and maintain meaningful partnerships.
Excellent communication and presentation skills for delivering information effectively to diverse audiences.
Organizational and time management skills to coordinate outreach activities and manage multiple relationships simultaneously.
Experience in community outreach or professional relations in healthcare or addiction recovery is highly desirable.
Knowledge of substance abuse recovery and treatment services is a plus.
Ability to work collaboratively with a team and independently when needed.
A Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Public Relations, Healthcare, or a related field is preferred.
Willingness to travel locally for networking and community events as part of the role's responsibilities.
