Under the direction of the Director of Public Relations, thePhotographer 2 plans and executes photography and videography assignmentsthroughout the hospital and surrounding campus.The Photographer 2 supports the functions of the Public RelationsDepartment by capturing, editing, and preparing photographs and video contentfor use in hospital publications, advertisements, websites, social mediaplatforms, presentations, and other communication materials.The position plays an important role invisually documenting the hospital’s programs, services, staff, patients, andspecial events to support marketing, public relations, and educationalinitiatives.Work includes staging andcapturing professional-quality images and video of patients (with appropriateconsent), staff, rehabilitation therapies, hospital facilities, and communityoutreach activities.
The Photographer 2 edits and processes images and videousing professional editing software to ensure appropriate color balance,composition, lighting, and formatting for various media applications. Theincumbent prepares images for publication in print and digital formatsincluding newsletters, brochures, advertising materials, and web and socialmedia content.Additionalresponsibilities include maintaining and organizing digital photo and videoarchives; managing photography equipment; coordinating photo sessions withhospital staff and departments; ensuring proper patient consent and compliancewith privacy regulations; and assisting with the visual design needs of thePublic Relations Department.Will also assistwith short-form video production, including filming interviews, documentingpatient stories, and producing promotional or educational videos for internaland external audiences.
Requirements
Two years of experience in commercial or institutionalphotography including taking, developing and printing photographs, and usingand maintaining darkroom equipment.
PREFERREDQUALIFICATIONS/COMPETENCIES:
Experiencephotographing in healthcare, rehabilitation, nonprofit, or institutionalenvironments
Proficiencyin professional photography and video editing software (e.g., AdobeCreative Suite, including Photoshop, Lightroom, and Premiere Pro)
Experienceproducing photography and video content for digital media, websites, andsocial media platforms
Experiencemanaging digital asset libraries and organizing large photo archives
Stronginterpersonal and communication skills for coordinating photo sessionswith hospital staff, patients, and leadership
