Overview Job Title: Livestream Switcher / Technical Director Job Type: Freelance / Event-Based Contract Rate: $300-350 Schedule: Must be available for Coachella weekends, prep days, show days, and strike as needed Position Overview We are seeking skilled Livestream Switchers / Technical Directors to lead live switching and broadcast execution for Coachella weekend productions. This role is responsible for the live visual presentation of the stream, including camera switching, shot flow, coordination with camera operators and production, and maintaining overall show quality in a fast-moving live environment. This is not an entry-level role. We are looking for candidates who understand pacing, live storytelling, multi-camera production, technical troubleshooting, and how to maintain Key Responsibilities Execute live switching for multi-camera livestream productions Build and operate show flows across live segments, talent moments, performances, interviews, roaming coverage, and branded activations Coordinate with producers, camera operators, livestream techs, graphics, and audio to maintain smooth live execution Monitor program output, preview, multiview, audio confidence, and stream integrity throughout broadcast Trigger or coordinate graphics, playback elements, lower thirds, and scene changes as needed Maintain visual continuity, pacing, and shot selection appropriate to the format and talent Troubleshoot switching, source, sync, and routing issues in real time Assist with pre-show testing, signal verification, camera matching, and technicalvrehearsal Adapt quickly to changing production conditions, talent movement, and festivalvenvironment variables Help document workflows, source maps, and operational notes for consistent execution Required Qualifications Proven experience as a live switcher, technical director, or livestream director on multi-camera productions Strong command of live switching concepts, camera coverage, pacing, and real-time decision-making Experience with one or more of the following: ATEM, vMix, OBS, TVU Producer, livestream control rooms, cloud or onsite switching workflows Strong understanding of video signal flow, stream delivery, and live show operations Ability to communicate clearly with camera ops, production, and technical crew during active live shows Comfortable making fast decisions while protecting stream quality and show continuity Ability to stay composed under pressure and solve technical problems without disrupting production Preferred Qualifications Experience with music, festival, creator, IRL, or branded livestream productions Familiarity with cloud production, remote contribution, and live transmission workflows Understanding of stream platform deliverables and live audience expectations Experience with graphics integration, playback coordination, and audio confidence monitoring Familiarity with live event troubleshooting across encoders, capture, networking, and multiview systems Ideal Candidate Has excellent visual judgment and timing Understands both the creative and technical side of live switching Can run a clean show while adapting to unpredictable live conditions Knows how to communicate efficiently and professionally on comms Is dependable, prepared, and detail-oriented To Apply Please send the following to suscato@memehousela.com : Resume Brief summary of your live switching / TD experience List of systems you’ve operated Availability for Coachella weekends Optional: reel, portfolio, or links to shows you’ve switched Maintain KPI visibility and report performance metrics Support post-production handoff with edited clips and highlights On-site problem-solving under contract-based employment terms #J-18808-Ljbffr
