Job Description The Office of Student Billing and Account Services at WKU is seeking applicants for the position of Billings/Receivables Accounts Specialist. This individual will be responsible for a variety of administrative, clerical, accounting and customer service duties to assist the Office of Student Billing. The position will report directly to the Associate Director for Student Billing.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities The following duties are customary for this position and are not to be construed as all-inclusive. Duties may be added, deleted, and assigned based on management discretion and institutional needs.

Provides high quality customer service while assisting students, parents, faculty and staff members at the front counter, on the phone and via email

Researches and resolves concerns or discrepancies

Works with complex situations which require in-depth analysis

Posts payments to student accounts

Counts and reconciles cash drawer and daily work

Assists with collections and monitors payment agreements

Reviews and audits accounts to include processing of refunds, working with multiple outside agencies and reconciling

Reconciles amounts received or owed by comparing invoices to POs or other records.

Performs administrative and clerical tasks to include word processing, recordkeeping, data entry and filing

Represents the Office of Student Billing at the Topper Orientation Program, Head for the Hill and other applicable campus events. Presents Student Billing information to parents and students as well as provides a question and answer session at such events

Required to recall and understand information and procedures from multiple departments on campus

Requirements

Two years post-secondary education and two years of related experience OR a High School Diploma plus four years of significant and related experiences.

Additional Information Hourly Range:

$15.38 - $16.92
