Responsibilities Content Strategy and Creation

Develop energy thought leadership and content roadmap aligned with AFL's market strategy

Plan and conduct structured interviews to distill technical insights into authoritative narratives

Research and write white papers on grid modernization, resilience, renewable integration, and emerging energy demands

Create solution content connecting thought leadership to AFL's grid solutions and real-world applications

Develop product content showcasing AFL's complete solutions portfolio (OPGW, connectivity hardware, accessories) in the context of grid systems, thought leadership, and customer challenges

Produce derivative content (summaries, blog posts, social posts, articles) to extend reach and engagement

Translate complex standards, regulatory updates, and technical data into clear narratives

Ensure content aligns with AFL's brand voice guidelines

Strategic Collaboration

Contribute to the energy marketing strategy, value propositions, customer segmentation, and persona development with the Solution Marketing Manager (Energy)

Work with the Solution Marketing Manager (Energy) to execute content strategy and thought leadership initiatives

Partner with Market Development, Product Management, Engineering, Sales, and Solution Marketing teams to lead and create thought leadership content

Work with Product Management and Engineering to ensure technical accuracy of content

Collaborate with Marketing Services to incorporate visuals, diagrams, and infographics

Present work and incorporate feedback from stakeholders

Monitor industry trends and propose new content opportunities to the Solution Marketing Manager

Performance and Optimization

Analyze content performance (downloads, engagement, lead generation, citations)

Apply SEO and GEO best practices to maximize discoverability

Track quarterly Objectives and Key Results (OKRs) and participate in Solution Marketing team reviews

Monitor industry trends and identify new content opportunities

Manage content lifecycles, including editorial calendars, approvals, updates, and retirement of outdated assets

Required Qualifications and Experience

Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications, Copywriting, Journalism, or related field

3–5 years of content production experience in agency or in-house marketing teams

3-5 years working in the Energy/Utility sector and/or optical networks with familiarity of grid infrastructure

Demonstrated portfolio of long-form technical content (white papers, case studies, reports)

Proven ability to distil complex concepts into impactful narratives

Experience collaborating with engineers, sales, customers, and technical leaders

Experience writing executive-level, customer-facing, or PR-ready content for external publication

Technical Competencies

Expertise in long-form technical content creation (white papers, case studies, technical briefs)

Understanding of content hierarchy and how to cascade thought leadership into solution and product narratives

Strong research, analysis, and synthesis capabilities

Understanding of solution marketing for end-to-end systems and ability to write for different audiences (executive, technical, procurement)

Knowledge of SEO, analytics, and content amplification

High-level editing and exceptional attention to detail

Proficiency in Microsoft Office/Office 365

Ability to use AI tools for content ideation, content amplification, and research

Awareness of data privacy and compliance requirements
