Job Description
General Statement of Duties :
This particular job posting is an "Open Pool" position. There may or may not be available openings at this time however, when an opening does occur, the hiring manager will draw from the pool of applicants we have on file on an as needed basis. Assists the School of Liberal Arts, Education, Humanities & Communications, with a primary focus on Graphic & Interactive Design and associated labs.
Responsibilities
Provides coverage and supports the Graphic & Interactive Design labs and classes such as printing graphics projects with students and maintaining the computer labs and equipment.
Related software and hardware installation may be required in conjunction with the IT department.
Regular maintenance of the School of Liberal Arts, Education, Humanities & Communications Web and Social Media pages.
Provides individual assistance/tutoring to students in the labs.
Prints and prepares graphics projects as needed.
Provides assistance to the GID chair in curating exhibits and maintaining the GID gallery space. Maintains, inventories, and monitors all related equipment and labs.
Works as the liaison between the Graphic & Interactive Design and other department within and outside of the College.
Some evening and Weekend hours as needed to support the program.
Additional duties as assigned by the Dean and/ or Department Chair.
Minimum Qualifications
Demonstrated knowledge of Macintosh and Windows environments as well as software programs such as: QuarkXPress, InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, Acrobat, Dreamweaver, Flash, and Fireworks; Microsoft Office Suite.
Clerical/secretarial skills such as typing and data entry.
Experience working with computers and peripheral equipment.
Associate Degree or Higher in related field.
Experience with servers a plus.

Additional Information
Salary: $15.00 per hour
Hours per Week: up to 18 hours per week flexible
Number of Weeks: up to 38 weeks per year
