Description Brilliance and Amazon Publishing are looking for an organized, highly structured Digital Asset Researcher to support our eBook, print, and audiobook production processes. You will support production and design teams through research, licensing, and tracking of digital assets and permissions needed to produce our books in all formats. The Digital Asset Researcher will need exceptional organization to maintain relationships with internal and external partners, create and update team procedures, and build and maintain team tracking and metrics. A high level of professionalism and interpersonal skills are required as they will represent Amazon and Brilliance Publishing in communication to agents, publishers and vendors. The successful candidate will have a penchant for process improvement, experience in negotiations, a good understanding of the publishing industry, and excellent written and verbal communication. Key job responsibilities • Source, vet, and manage visual assets for book covers, ensuring brand and legal compliance • Manage image and font licensing, including complex rights negotiations for third-party content • Obtain permissions from designers and negotiate special-use permissions for promotional images • Maintain regular contact with the sub-rights and art departments of large and independent print publishers, as well as internal Editors, Production Managers, Vendor Management, Legal, and Design teams • Audit high-profile backlist and renewals for current permissions • Partner with Design, Editorial, Production, and Legal teams on asset tracking and creative project readiness • Streamline and automate existing processes and create and maintain departmental procedures and success metrics About the team Amazon Publishing is the full‑service publishing arm of Amazon. Basic Qualifications BA degree, or BS degree Knowledge of Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, SharePoint, and PowerPoint) Knowledge of Adobe design programs including Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign 3+ years experience in digital asset licensing or relevant professional experience Preferred Qualifications Experience in process improvement Experience in publishing operations and business negotiations Experience in global environments with strong problem‑solving and relationship‑building skills Amazon is an equal opportunity employer and does not discriminate on the basis of protected veteran status, disability, or other legally protected status. Your Amazon package will include sign‑on payments and restricted stock units (RSUs). Final compensation will be determined based on factors including experience, qualifications, and location.
