Join Our Team as a Golf Groundskeeper - Bonnie Dundee Golf Club

Do you enjoy working outdoors and take pride in maintaining beautiful landscapes? Are you ready to be part of a team that keeps our golf course in top condition? Dundee Township Park District is looking for Seasonal Golf Groundskeepers to help maintain our course, ensuring it is safe, playable, and visually outstanding for all guests!

What You’ll Do As a Golf Groundskeeper / Laborer, you’ll:

Mow greens, tees, collars, fairways, roughs, banks, and clubhouse grounds

Trim around trees, shrubs, ponds, and landscaped areas

Rake and edge sand bunkers using hand tools and equipment

Assist with aeration, verticutting, spiking, and top-dressing of turf areas

Operate equipment such as mowers, trimmers, seeders, sod cutters, and leaf removal tools

Water turf and assist with irrigation and drainage installation and repairs

Plant trees, shrubs, flowers, and maintain landscape beds and mulch

Prepare areas for turf establishment, including seeding and laying sod

Clean, refuel, and properly store equipment after use

Report equipment issues promptly

Follow all safety policies and use required PPE

Assist with golf course improvement projects and other Park District needs

Who You Are You’re a dependable and motivated team player with:

A passion for working outdoors and maintaining high-quality grounds

Ability to safely operate motorized turf equipment (preferred)

Basic knowledge of hand and power tools

Strong attention to detail and work ethic

Ability to follow written and verbal directions

Physical strength, stamina, and agility for manual labor

Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Mechanical aptitude and basic troubleshooting skills

Ability to remain calm in high-stress situations

Bilingual (Spanish/English) skills are a plus

Schedule

Full-season, non-exempt position

Works approximately 40–48 hours per week (April through end of November)

Typical Work Hours:

Spring/Fall: 6:00 AM – 2:30 PM

Summer: 5:30 AM – 2:00 PM

Weekend and holiday hours may be required

Extended hours may be needed based on course demands

A set schedule may be available; flexibility based on candidate availability
