At Iconic Candy, we’re on a mission to bring back the most beloved candy brands of the past — and make them go viral all over again.

But this role is about more than just candy.

We are building the voice of nostalgia on social media — tapping into the moments, memories, and emotions that take people back to simpler times. Whether it’s the feeling of opening your favorite childhood candy, the culture of the 90s and early 2000s, or shared generational memories — we want to create content that makes people feel something.

We’re looking for a Social Media Manager who understands that viral content isn’t just about trends — it’s about emotion, relatability, and timing.

This role will work closely with our Head of Creative, Graphic Designer, and Content Creator to build and execute a cohesive, high-impact social strategy across all platforms.

What You’ll Do Own Our Social Strategy

Develop and execute a comprehensive social media strategy across TikTok, Instagram, YouTube Shorts, Facebook, and emerging platforms

Ensure a consistent brand voice centered around nostalgia, emotion, and cultural moments

Build campaigns that connect products to meaningful memories and shared experiences

Lead the Voice of Nostalgia

Create content that taps into childhood memories, cultural throwbacks, and emotional triggers

Identify moments that spark “I remember this” / “this takes me back” reactions

Position Iconic Candy as the go-to social presence for nostalgic content — not just candy

Trend & Viral Content Leadership

Stay ahead of trends, sounds, formats, and platform shifts

Quickly identify opportunities to merge trends + nostalgia + product—while possessing the editorial judgment to know which trends perfectly align with our brand and which ones to pass on.

Turn everyday ideas into highly shareable, emotionally engaging content

Content Planning & Execution

Collaborate daily with the Head of Creative, Graphic Designer, and Content Creator

Build and manage a structured content calendar using Sprout Social

Identify and partner with creators who align with nostalgic storytelling and viral content

Build campaigns that amplify reach and authenticity

Create moments that feel organic, not forced

Performance & Analytics

Track KPIs across all platforms and optimize based on performance

Use insights to refine content strategy and double down on what works

Continuously test new formats, hooks, and storytelling approaches

Community Building

Engage with followers in a way that builds connection and conversation

Turn comments and interactions into content opportunities

Build a passionate community around shared memories and experiences

Leverage active social listening to monitor cultural conversations, track brand sentiment, and uncover untapped nostalgic moments our audience is already talking about.

What We’re Looking For

3–5+ years managing social media for a brand (CPG a plus)

Deep understanding of TikTok, Instagram, and short-form content

Proven ability to create or contribute to viral content

Strong instinct for what triggers emotional engagement and nostalgia

Experience working with influencers and managing partnerships

Strong analytical mindset with experience tracking performance

Highly organized and comfortable using tools like Sprout Social

Creative, fast-moving, and culturally plugged in
