Key Responsibilities Motion Execution: Animate high quality 2D and 2.5D graphics that align with the project’s established visual identity and style guides. Composition & Timing: Translate storyboards and style frames into finished motion sequences, ensuring that the pacing matches the intended emotional beat or voiceover. Asset Preparation: Take static illustrations or vector files and professionally break them apart for animation, ensuring clean layering and rigging. Visual Effects & Compositing: Apply principles of motion blur, secondary animation, and lighting effects to polish scenes and create a cohesive final look. Technical Optimization: Organize project files with clean naming conventions and pre compositions to ensure assets are easily adjustable for the creative lead. Collaborative Reviews: Participate in production meetings to understand how motion curves and transitions contribute to the overall storytelling and user experience. Requirements Motion Portfolio: A reel or portfolio demonstrating proficiency in motion graphics across multiple styles (explainer style, title design, or abstract motion). This is a strict requirement. Software Skills: High proficiency in Adobe After Effects. Working knowledge of Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop is essential for asset preparation. Foundational Principles: A solid understanding of the 12 Principles of Animation, specifically easing, squash and stretch, and anticipation. 3D Literacy: Basic knowledge of 3D layers or software (C4D, Blender, or Element 3D) is a significant plus for creating depth. Education: Currently enrolled in (or recently graduated from) a Motion Media, Graphic Design, Animation, or related Digital Arts program. Learning Mindset: Seeking academic credit or mentorship to bridge the gap between student assignments and professional grade motion branding. For OPT students: Position is unpaid and meets DOL criteria for unpaid internships. Additional Notes Schedules are flexible to accommodate academic calendars and learning goals. All work is educational, supervised, and structured around skill development rather than production quotas. This is an unpaid internship focused on professional growth and portfolio development.
