Digital Marketing Internship Merchants Insurance Group, a leading Property and Casualty Insurer in the Northeast, is looking for a highly motivated Digital Marketing Intern interested in learning and applying their skills in a corporate capacity. You will be working directly with colleagues and will gain hands‑on experience in content strategy, social media, SEO, and analytics.

Hybrid Work Schedule Merchants offers a Hybrid work schedule. The hybrid schedule requires two full days per week in the office, with the option to work the remaining days at home or in the office. Projects May Include

This internship will support Merchants Insurance Group’s digital marketing strategy and provide an opportunity to gain hands‑on experience in content strategy, social media, SEO, and analytics. Key activities include:

Supporting the development and coordination of digital content across web, blog, email, and social media channels

Researching, creating, curating, scheduling, and publishing relevant social media content, as well as engaging with other relevant profiles and content

Aligning social media strategy with the marketing department’s overall objectives, working closely with the Sr. Content Marketing Specialist to plan and create content calendars

Collaborate with internal subject matter experts as needed to translate complex topics into engaging marketing content to support company objectives

Conduct competitive research and monitor industry trends to inform content strategy. Monitor and identify emerging social media trends and best practices to determine how these can be integrated into Merchants’ digital strategy

Track and analyze digital and social performance metrics; share insights of successes and areas with improvement potential

One overarching project combining some or all of the above, spanning the entirety of the internship period, and concluding with a presentation to the Marketing Team and any other key stakeholders at the end of the summer

Qualifications & Skills

Current student or spring 2026 graduate of an undergraduate or graduate program in Communication(s), Marketing, Media Studies, Journalism, Business, or similar area of study with a minimum G.P.A. of 3.0.

Full‑time paid internship at $20.00 hourly starting June 2026 through August 2026 based on school schedule. A minimum of two months is required.

Strong written and verbal communication skills

Interest in content marketing, SEO, and digital strategy

Experience with graphic design platforms such as Canva or Adobe Express

Experience with Adobe Creative Cloud platforms such as Photoshop and Illustrator are a plus but not required

Familiarity with creating content for Facebook, LinkedIn, Instagram, and X

Experience with or willingness to learn WordPress, Hootsuite, and Google Analytics

Creative mindset with an understanding of targeting content

Ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines

Skilled in Microsoft Word, Excel and PowerPoint

Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

Feels excitement about telling brand stories

Can work both independently and as a team
