Global Mobility Specialist

As a Global Mobility Specialist, you will be responsible for managing and coordinating the global mobility programs and assignments within our organization. Your primary focus will be on facilitating smooth employee relocation, ensuring compliance with immigration and tax regulations, and providing support to internationally mobile employees. This role requires strong knowledge of global mobility policies, excellent communication skills, and the ability to navigate complex international regulations. Responsibilities include: Managing and coordinating the end-to-end process of global mobility assignments, including relocation, immigration, tax, and compliance. Providing guidance and support to employees and managers regarding global mobility policies, processes, and requirements. Ensuring compliance with immigration laws and regulations in collaboration with external legal counsel. Coordinating and managing work permit and visa applications for international assignments, including supporting documentation and compliance checks. Collaborating with HR, payroll, and finance teams to ensure accurate and timely processing of international assignments, including compensation and benefits. Providing advice and guidance on international tax obligations and ensuring compliance with tax regulations for globally mobile employees. Developing and maintaining relationships with external vendors, such as relocation providers, immigration firms, and tax consultants. Conducting briefings and training for employees and managers on global mobility policies, processes, and cultural considerations. Supporting employees and their families during the relocation process, providing assistance with housing, schooling, healthcare, and other relocation-related matters. Assisting in developing and updating global mobility policies, procedures, and guidelines to ensure alignment with business objectives and compliance with regulations. Staying updated with immigration laws, tax regulations, and cultural considerations in various countries to provide accurate advice and support. Maintaining accurate and confidential employee records related to global mobility assignments. Collaborating with internal and external stakeholders to ensure a seamless employee experience throughout the global mobility process. Providing guidance and support for repatriation processes and career development for employees returning from international assignments. Leading HR immigration efforts on work-site investigations and audits with DOL, EEOC, ICE, USCIS, and DHS with the assistance of immigration attorneys and internal legal team. Supporting the HR team with I-9 reverifications related to sponsored employees and creating business invitation letters for the business. Assisting in other HR-related projects and initiatives as assigned. Qualifications include: Proven experience as a Global Mobility Specialist or in a similar role, managing global mobility programs and assignments. Minimum 2-4 years of related work experience. Bachelor's Degree in a business related or technical field preferred (or equivalent of education and experience) Proactive, decisive, and able to work independently on a broad variety of subjects. Strong detailed orientation and a demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks. Strong interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills, which includes ability to remain objective and use discretion in all situations. Highly collaborative and team oriented, able to build relationships at all levels of the organization. Resourceful, with a problem-solving aptitude, and ability to manage and resolve complex and sensitive situations while managing confidential information appropriately and professionally.
