Under the direction of the Director of Employee Support, the Employee Health and Wellness Program Director is responsible for managing, planning, coordinating and implementing a comprehensive Health and Wellness program for Tarleton State faculty and staff. In-office position located in Stephenville, Texas with work hours of Monday to Friday from 8:00am to 5:00pm or as work requirements require, which will include occasional after-hours, evenings, weekends and some holidays. Occasional travel required. Serves as Campus Security Authority (CSA). Essential Duties & Responsibilities

Oversees and leads the administration of health and wellness benefits. Designs and implements a comprehensive employee wellness program that addresses dimensions of wellness including, but not limited to physical, emotional, and financial health. Develops educational materials and resources to promote healthy behaviors and lifestyle choices. Serves as the Tarleton "Wellness Champion" to the Texas A&M System Benefits Administration. Prepares annual report and program proposals for the Chancellor's Wellness Initiatives. Identifies opportunities for future funding and may develop grant proposals for submission. Manages wellness program budgets, both local funding and Chancellor Wellness Initiative. Assists in coordinating health fairs and workshops to educate employees about wellness topics. Establishes partnerships with external health organizations, vendors, and consultants to enhance wellness offerings. Works collaboratively with Tarleton State Campus Recreation staff to encourage and support faculty and staff usage of Campus Recreation facilities. Collaborates with Tarleton State School of Kinesiology faculty to develop research-based wellness methods, develop appropriate wellness assessments, and identify graduate student employment opportunities. Hires, trains and supervises wellness staff, which may be located in various locations. Collects and analyzes data related to employee health and wellness to assess employee needs and program effectiveness; prepares reports on program outcomes. Ensures compliance with relevant health and safety regulations and guidelines. Communicates and promotes wellness program goals and activities to employees through various channels. Establishes regular channels for faculty/staff feedback. Minimum Qualifications

A bachelor's degree in public health, kinesiology, exercise science, human resources business administration or a related field. Ten years of related experience Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Expertise in employee health, wellness, and engagement strategies. Knowledge of relevant federal, state, and local regulations. Ability to lead cross-departmental wellness initiatives and manage change. Skilled in supervising, training, and evaluating staff. Experience in setting goals, analyzing data, and evaluating program effectiveness. Strong problem-solving and decision-making abilities. Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal. Demonstrates professionalism, integrity, and fairness. Builds and maintains effective working relationships. Preferred:

Master's degree in public health, kinesiology, human resources, exercise science, business administration or a related field from an accredited college or university. Experience in higher education. Experience in program planning, implementation and evaluating health and wellness programs. Compensation & Benefits

Salary: Commensurate with experience Salary Range: The target base annual salary range is $53,745 up to $59,199 and may be negotiable based on funding availability and candidate experience/skillset in relation to the minimum requirements of this position.
