
SR NON-EDIBLE DIRECTOR

Provide strategic direction of Non-Edible and align efforts across key strategic and financial initiatives. Act as a liaison and advocate between the team and senior leadership, championing priorities and outcomes. Develop and communicate long-term plans for the categories, including risk mitigation, resource allocation, and vendor management opportunities. Responsibilities
Lead the creation and implementation of a comprehensive strategy to grow Non-Edible in alignment with overall merchandising goals; assess emerging opportunities to uncover long-term trends and growth opportunities; develop new approaches and move beyond incremental improvement to transformational impact. Partner with suppliers to drive innovation within Non-Edible, develop a deep understanding of market/competitive/consumer dynamics to define our strategy and drive action against them. Collaborate cross-functionally with Merchandising, eCommerce, Division Leadership, Marketing, Operations, and Legal Compliance to ensure alignment and flawless execution. Enhance the customer journey by creating engaging and inspirational in-store and online experiences; utilize data-driven insights to optimize product placement, promotions, and pricing strategies to maximize sales for impulse selling items. Lead category management for Non-Edible, including assortment planning, pricing, promotions, space allocation, and innovation pipeline. Supervise and coach direct reports in the performance of their duties; complete performance reviews and provide feedback to direct reports. Minimum Bachelor's degree in business, marketing, or a related field 10+ years of experience in merchandising, category management, or retail strategy Demonstrated experience managing non-edible categories Strong adaptability to shifting customer trends Proven ability to collaborate cross-functionally to solve problems and meet financial goals Ability to translate strategy into scalable action Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment Excellent written, oral, and presentation skills Demonstrated ability to lead, coach, and develop high‑performing teams Leadership experience in non-edible, grocery, retail or related CPG MBA or advanced degree in business, strategy, marketing, or a related field Job Info
