About the role
The Brooklyn Museumseeksto appoint anAssistant to support its Institutional Giving department and its work raising funds from foundation and government donors.The Institutional Giving Assistant will fulfill crucial administrative and operational functions. TheAssistant willbe responsible for data entry in the Museum’s CRM, gift processing, prospect research,scheduling meetings,and copyediting proposals and reports. This position offers an opportunity for a strong writer andhighly organizedadministrator to learn about institutional fundraising and grow their grant writing and management skills. Responsibilities
Assistwith writing and copyediting grant proposals and reports Research and prepare briefings on prospective donors Write and send donor acknowledgment letters Maintainaccurateinstitutional donor records and reports in Tessitura, the Museum’s CRM Maintain and organize digital donor files Coordinate gift processing with the development operations department Work with the finance department to ensure that all grants and grant payments are properly recorded in Tessitura Manage scheduling for theAssistant Directorof Institutional Givingand Directorof Institutional Giving and GovernmentGrants Staff fundraising events as needed Qualifications
Excellent expository writing and copyediting skills Strong communicationand research skills Strong data entry and data management skills Department: Development Reports to : Assistant Director of Institutional Giving Position type : Full-time Union Status: Union- UAW Local 2110 FLSA Status:
