
HDPE Fusion Field Specialist

About the Role
Picture a week where you fly into a new city, drive a company truck out to a job site, set up fusion equipment, and deliver clean, precise HDPE pipe welds that keep projects moving. You troubleshoot hydraulic, mechanical, and electrical quirks with help from a seasoned support team, keep the customer informed, and see the work through to completion. That’s a typical day for an HDPE Fusion Field Specialist at ISCO.
When field work slows, you’ll pitch in at the local plant with fabrication or shipping. Along the way, you’ll coach customers on best practices and even provide on‑site training and certification.
Compensation and Benefits
Annual Pay Range: $68,000 - $86,000

What You’ll Do
Deliver HDPE piping solutions via plastic pipe welding and fusion services
Diagnose and address machine issues (hydraulic, mechanical, electrical) with remote support to keep productivity high on site
Apply plastic welding principles to meet complex job specifications
Serve as the on‑site point of contact for customers and coordinate with the sales team
Follow all safety protocols while on site, during training, when traveling, and when fabricating in the yard
Grow your expertise through ongoing training and on‑the‑job learning
Provide in‑person training and certification to customers
Assist with fabrication and/or shipping at the local plant when field work is not available
Perform other related duties as assigned
Travel Regular travel by car and air with frequent overnight stays.
Qualifications
High School Diploma/GED and a valid driver’s license
Hands‑on proficiency with common hand tools
Ability to interpret technical instructions in diagrammatic and mathematical form and solve practical problems
Comfortable using technology; you’ll rely on email and iPhone apps daily
Training opportunities provided: ISCO/McElroy fusion training and testing, manufacturers’ electro‑fusion certification, First Aid, and MSHA safety training
Physical Demands & Work Environment Must be able to pass a DOT physical.
