
Parts Counterman - Stroudsburg

The Full-Time New Hire Counterman assists the parts & service department personnel by performing the following duties.
POSITION REQUIREMENTS Function and Responsibilities:
Answer phone calls to provide price quotes, promote current parts & service special, and solicit assigned accounts.
Assist customers (retail & shop) in selecting the required parts in a friendly, professional, & efficient manner.
Pull/fill orders from stock, notify supervisor of out-of-stock parts that need immediate attention, notify the technician and customer when special ordered parts are received.
Deliver parts to bays.
Maintain and organize cores and warranty parts.
Keep work areas, computer terminals, and printers clean and uncluttered while maintaining professional appearance.
Participate in training programs that are made available to keep current on new products and updates.
Other tasks as assigned.
Physical Demands:
Stand, walk and deliver parts to service counter and service bays during an 8-hour work shift.
Ability to lift or carry up to 50+ lb. parts to a height of 44 inches.
Will be required to reach, climb, twist, crouch, kneel or stoop to retrieve parts from shelves.
Education & Experience:
High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or two years related experience.
Part‑related experience a plus.
Must possess and use good interpersonal skills and can interact well with customers, vendors, and co‑workers in a positive and constructive manner.
Must be able to read and write in English, understand computer‑generated reports, invoices, etc.
Ability to operate various computer systems and/or CDK‑DMS a plus.
