Construction Estimator

Estimator Utilities We have an immediate opportunity for an Estimator supporting electrical utilities. This position requires the ability to forecast and estimate all construction project costs according to all data collected. Duties and Responsibilities Estimating self-performed work and pricing the labor, equipment, and material costs Working knowledge of construction assemblies and all project phases Ability to produce accurate estimates from conceptual and schematic drawings along with ability to produce detailed, final contract estimates Ability to assess site exposures/construction risks and be able to appropriately analyze cost and reflect this in the estimate Ability to identify constructability issue through the estimating process Ability to identify value-engineering alternatives Team player with the ability to read, write and communicate effectively Ability to travel to jobsites for job walks and site visits occasionally Education and Experienced A four-year degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, Electrical Engineering or equivalent required Experience working for a General Contractor as an estimator bidding on projects ranging from $5000 to $1MM Previous underground utility estimating experience desired Must have electrical construction estimating experience Ability to communicate effectively with management and fellow employees Proficient using estimating software and MS Suite to include Excel Excellent Benefits Utilities, Underground, Electrical, Telecom, Gas, Bidding, Estimator, Estimating, Cost, Controls
