
Electrical Designer

As an Electrical Designer at Walker Partners, you will work alongside our experienced engineering, survey, and construction management teams and play a pivotal role in the planning, design, and delivery of a variety of infrastructure engineering projects across Central Texas.
This role focuses on the electrical systems that power and control critical water and wastewater facilities such as treatment plants, pump stations, and utility infrastructure. You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to develop electrical designs that help communities operate safe and reliable infrastructure systems.
Responsibilities
Assist in the design of electrical systems for water and wastewater treatment plants, pump stations, and related infrastructure
Evaluate existing electrical systems and develop practical, cost-effective improvements to support facility rehabilitation or expansion
Support preparation of electrical plans, specifications, and engineering calculations
Conduct on-site observations of construction progress
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering from an accredited university
7+ of experience in electrical engineering design
Proficiency with AutoCAD, Revit
Familiarity with electrical modelling software such as ETAP, SKM Power Tools, or Easy Power.
Experience with photometric software such as AGI 32, Visual, or Elum Tools.
Strong communication and project coordination skills
