Job Description
Get your foot in the door to the software sales industry as a Business Development Representative (BDR) at Sage. Every day, you’ll take to the phones connecting with mid to large sized businesses teaching them about how Sage can help run their business better.
This hybrid position requires commuting to the Atlanta (Ponce City Market) office 3 days.
Represent software that wins
Our products are designed with the customer in mind. They make accounting, finance, and operations tasks easy, meaning more time to do other things; this is key for medium and large sized businesses! As an BDR, you will be selling our flagship manufacturing solution, Sage X3, to mid‑market and enterprise‑level companies.
Onboarding snapshot
Weeks 1-3: join other new SDRs/BDRs in an onboarding class designed to teach you about systems, competitive landscapes and how to sell Sage.
Week 4: witness what you learned in weeks 1-3 by shadowing other BDRs.
Weeks 5-12: ramp up period, with the support of your manager and team, progressing toward being fully independent.
How success will be measured
Your goal will be to create sales opportunities for Account Executives. You’ll do this by finding prospects then getting a meeting with them to teach them about Sage. After that, the Account Executive will take over.
Growth Opportunities
Our global sales team is huge, and we love seeking people internally to promote. SDRs typically choose to grow into Account Executive roles, Customer Account Management or Sales Operations/Management or marketing roles.
This role is not open to visa sponsorship. Candidates must have current work authorization for the location listed to be considered.
Qualifications
1+ years of sales or professional experience
BA degree or equivalent experience
Experience using BANT to qualify prospects
Experience handling objections
Intermediate level experience using a CRM, Sales Engagement Tools, List Building Tools – other tools an added bonus
Heavy cold calling
