Role Description
This is a full-time, on-site role for an Assistant News Director and on‑air employee, located in Carroll, IA. The Assistant News Director will assist daily news operations and ensure the production of high‑quality news content.
Crafting and reviewing news broadcasts.
Coordinating news coverage across different platforms.
Ensuring deadlines are met.
Collaborating with the News Director to maintain editorial standards and drive audience engagement.
Being an on‑air voice for our three stations.
Qualifications
Proven experience in Broadcasting, with familiarity with radio.
Strong writing and broadcast journalism skills, with an ability to produce accurate, concise, and compelling content.
Solid understanding of production techniques and storytelling in news and media.
Leadership and team management skills, including coordination with diverse teams.
Excellent verbal communication and organizational abilities.
Prior experience in local news production is an advantage.
