Experienced Customer Service Representative
PSC Group is now hiring a Logistics Customer Service Representative to join our team. The ideal candidate will have prior experience in a customer service, logistics, or industrial environment, along with strong communication skills, keen attention to detail, advanced computer proficiency, and the ability to effectively multi-task in a chemical plant setting.
Job Duties & Responsibilities:
Communicate with customers, shippers (including those sending products via railcar), and carriers regarding orders and daily operations.
Work in an industrial environment and follow all safety and operational procedures.
Process customer orders using various computer inventory systems and complete all necessary paperwork.
Create and manage daily load schedules, confirm load weights, and verify documentation, including bills of lading, before releasing drivers.
Verify work instructions via customer data sheets.
Red tag railcars if necessary.
Schedule and verify motor carriers and inbound truck appointments, ensuring drivers are entered into required systems (including INA) and are compliant prior to loading.
Oversee that loaders are taking necessary customer samples and entering those samples into the inventory management system.
Receive, process, and update customer orders in inventory systems (SAP, D365, NetSuite, WMS).
Create and manage BOLs, pick lists, pick tickets, purchase orders, and shipment documents.
Enter production data, update production plans, and reconcile inventory, shipments, and open issues daily.
Monitor shipment receipts, perform warehouse transfers, and maintain accurate inventory records.
Investigate and report discrepancies, supporting corrective action processes.
Collaborate with internal teams and customers to support smooth daily operations.
Cross-train within the department and complete daily reports and other tasks as assigned.
Completes any other duties that may be assigned to complete the job.
Job Qualifications:
Prior experience working in a chemical plant, industrial or manufacturing work environment
Must be proficient in SAP
Must be proficient in Microsoft Excel
May require a valid Driver's License, depending on work location
18 years or older and legally able to work in the U.S.
Pass a drug screen, physical, and background check
Wear all required PPE without restriction and pass any required medical exams
Speak, write, read fluent English
Regular on-site attendance and punctuality is required
Previous military experience and proven ability to follow procedures is a plus.
