Our Transaction Tax Practice features a dedicated team that focuses on the tax implications associated with corporate and private equity acquisitions, dispositions, restructurings, and capital market transactions. As a senior member of the Transactions team, you will use your expertise to navigate complex tax issues, including U.S. domestic and cross-border strategies. The opportunity Our Transactions practice is dynamic and continuously evolving, presenting all the tools you need to grow alongside us. You will take on new skills and responsibilities, bolstered by dedicated mentorship and training programs. Our Transaction Tax practice assists clients in planning, executing, and integrating their transaction strategies, covering services such as deal structuring, due diligence, post-deal integration, internal restructuring, distressed debt and bankruptcy, tax attribute management and planning, and drafting opinions and IRS ruling requests.

Your key responsibilities As a Senior Transaction Tax Advisor, you will be an integral part of developing and implementing transactions. You will engage with a variety of client projects in a collaborative culture. We will depend on you to forge strong relationships with clients and work effectively with internal resources while mentoring and coaching junior team members.

Skills and attributes for success

Engage as a member of multiple client teams, participating in due diligence and structuring on transactions for private equity and corporate clients.

Conduct due diligence projects to thoroughly review tax returns, legal documents, and financial statements to assess and calculate potential tax exposures.

Review and advise clients on tax computations included in their financial models; support clients in analyzing tax data in their financial projections related to the transaction.

To qualify for the role, you must have

U.S. CPA or member of U.S. State bar.

A bachelor's degree with approximately 3 years of related work experience; or a graduate degree with 2 years of related work experience.

Experience in tax due diligence, deal structuring, and post-acquisition planning.

Proficiency in managing budgets, projects, and teams.

Ideally, you'll also have

Strong writing, research, analytical, communication, and presentation skills.

The capability to thrive in a fast-paced professional services environment.

A willingness and availability to travel as needed.

A comprehensive compensation and benefits package is offered, where you will be rewarded based on your performance and recognized for the value you bring. The base salary range for this position across all geographic locations in the U.S. is $118,300 to $195,100. For the New York City Metro Area, Washington State, and California (excluding Sacramento), the range is $141,900 to $221,800. Individual salaries within these ranges are determined based on various factors such as education, experience, knowledge, skills, and geographical location. Our Total Rewards package includes medical and dental coverage, pension and 401(k) plans, and numerous paid time-off options.

Join us in our team-led, leader-enabled hybrid model. Most individuals in external, client-serving roles are expected to work together in person 40-60% of the time during an engagement or project period.
