Responsibilities This role provides hands‑on, progressive experience across the full sales lifecycle while supporting Personal and Commercial Lines Producers. Assistant Producers in the apprenticeship program will transition from supported sales activities to supervised client‑facing responsibilities, building the skills, confidence, and technical knowledge required for an independent Producer role.
Sales & Client Engagement
Support Producers with prospecting, lead qualification, and pipeline development
Participate in discovery calls, client meetings, and renewal discussions (supervised)
Assist with needs‑based selling and coverage positioning for PL and CL clients
Support onboarding of new clients following closed sales
Gradually assume increased responsibility for client‑facing interactions
Proposals & Carrier Marketing
Assist with proposal development, coverage comparisons, and presentations
Support carrier marketing submissions and follow‑ups
Help position insurance solutions through clear storytelling and value articulation
Account Growth & Retention
Support cross‑selling, upselling, and account rounding initiatives
Assist in identifying coverage gaps and risk management opportunities
Collaborate with service, claims, and risk management teams to support client outcomes
Sales Operations & CRM
Track activity, opportunities, and follow‑ups within CRM systems
Maintain accurate documentation, notes, and pipeline reporting
Ensure proposals and sales materials are complete, accurate, and professional
Learning & Development Focus
Consultative and needs‑based sales techniques
Prospecting and pipeline management
Coverage positioning and insurance storytelling
Presentation, negotiation, and professional communication skills
Insurance product knowledge across Personal and Commercial Lines

Qualifications Education, Training, Experience, and Skill Requirements
Property & Casualty License (required; supported during apprenticeship)
Participation in sales methodology and CRM training
Ongoing development aligned to readiness for independent selling
Successful completion of the OneGroup Internship Program
Strong interpersonal, communication, and relationship‑building skills
Competitive, goal‑oriented mindset
Comfort in a consultative, relationship‑driven sales environment
Desire to progress into an independent Producer role
Other Job Information Hours:
40 hours a week
Compensation:
Commensurate with experience plus potential for annual merit increase.
