Interior Designer (Intermediate)

MGA I Michael Green Architecture, Vancouver, WA, United States

Do you value great design? Love pushing boundaries?

We are looking for a passionate Interior Designer to join our Vancouver team and take on exciting new projects across a diverse spectrum of unique and meaningful projects.

Who We Are:

Michael Green Architecture (MGA) is a Vancouver-based architecture and design studio creating innovative, sustainable projects that push the boundaries of technology and construction. Our work spans more than 20 countries and 400 projects, from private homes and cultural installations to residential master plans and university campuses, all designed with people and the planet in mind.

At MGA, we’re curious, creative people designing spaces that matter. We’re internationally recognized for our leadership in mass timber and low-carbon design, delivering some of the most significant timber buildings in the world. Our work includes Google’s mass timber workplace in California, the Royal BC Museum Collections and Research building, and a cultural hub in Sweden. Recognized with four Governor General’s Medals and named Architizer’s 2025 Best Global Sustainable Firm, we’re driven by a simple belief: design shapes how we live and the future we leave behind.

What You’ll Get Up To:

Jumping into complex, high-profile Interior Design projects both local and abroad

Working side-by-side with our interior design team to bring ideas to life, from concept sketches to final details on-site

Collaborating closely with our architecture team from the early stages in a fully integrated design process

Creating stunning presentations, developing interior schedules, and leading FF&E selections

Producing full interior drawing sets in Revit; coordinated, accurate, and well-crafted

Work together with clients, consultants, vendors, contractors, and the rest of our talented MGA team

Mentoring junior designers and contributing to a studio culture where everyone gets better

Being an ambassador for MGA, representing our design values in client meetings, at industry events, and in the quality of everything we put our name on

Why it Matters:

Design should do more than look good. It should change lives. The spaces we create bring people together, support healthier futures, and spark everyday joy. Join us, and you’ll be part of a team shaping real impact here at home and around the world.

What We’re Looking For:

3 years of interior design experience (public, commercial, or institutional is an asset)

CIDA-accredited degree; NCIDQ completed or in progress

Strong design, graphic, and technical skills

Proficiency in Revit, AutoCAD, SketchUp, and Adobe Suite

Experience producing full drawing sets and coordinating with consultants

Working knowledge of building codes (BCBC and beyond)

A strong eye for finishes, lighting, fixtures, and furniture

Organized, detail-oriented, and a clear communicator

Comfortable adapting to evolving tools and workflows, including AI

RHAFC knowledge is an asset

Proactive, takes ownership, and spots issues before they escalate

If this resonates, this is an opportunity to contribute to meaningful, high-impact work alongside a team driving change in our industry.

What We Offer:

Competitive salary: $70,000 to $90,000 depending on experience.

Adventure Bonus: Our one-of-a-kind annual bonus is designed to fund experiences that stretch you, challenge you, and get you out into the world.
