Requirements Key Responsibilities
Negotiate pricing, terms, and agreements with plumbing manufacturers and suppliers
Review and approve purchase orders to ensure accuracy and cost effectiveness
Manage inventory levels across branches to maintain strong fill rates while minimizing excess stock
Monitor product demand, seasonal trends, and sales data to forecast purchasing needs
Analyze vendor performance, pricing structures, and rebate programs
Resolve back orders, shipping issues, and product discrepancies quickly and effectively
Research and introduce new plumbing product lines to stay competitive in the market
Maintain strong relationships with key vendors and manufacturer representatives
Track and manage inventory turnover to maximize return on investment (ROI)
Coordinate with sales, warehouse, and operations teams to align purchasing with customer demand
Identify opportunities to streamline processes and improve supply chain efficiency
Monitor industry trends, material costs, and market conditions affecting plumbing products
Job Requirements
3+ years of purchasing, supply chain, or inventory management experience (plumbing wholesale or building materials preferred)
Strong knowledge of plumbing product lines
Proven negotiation skills with the ability to secure favorable pricing and terms
Experience managing inventory levels, forecasting demand, and improving fill rates
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret sales, inventory, and performance reports
Proficiency in ERP systems and Microsoft Excel (pivot tables, reporting, data analysis)
Understanding of vendor rebates, pricing structures, and margin management
Ability to manage multiple suppliers and product lines in a fast‑paced environment
Excellent communication and relationship‑building skills
Strong problem‑solving skills and attention to detail
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Finance, or related field preferred (or equivalent experience)
Ability to work collaboratively with sales, operations, and warehouse teams
