Job Summary As a Business Development Executive, you will play a crucial role in promoting the J.B. Hunt brand by connecting with new customers and driving revenue growth. This position involves assessing customer transportation needs, proposing customized solutions, and collaborating with internal teams to ensure seamless implementation and management of accounts.
Key Responsibilities
Engage in lead generation through proactive cold calling, networking, and in-person meetings.
Develop and nurture new customer relationships with a focus on understanding their unique business requirements through strategic selling.
Conduct regular travel to meet with prospective clients, delivering impactful presentations to establish rapport with key stakeholders.
Negotiate contracts and pricing structures that align with both company objectives and client expectations.
Stay updated on industry trends to refine sales strategies and maintain a competitive advantage.
Create and present tailored proposals that clearly communicate the value of J.B. Hunt’s services.
Collaborate with internal teams and the client during the solution implementation phase, including participation in the project kick‑off.
Qualifications Minimum Qualifications:
High School Diploma/GED
2-3 years of relevant experience in Sales, Account Management, or military equivalent, including at least 1 year of North American Truckload experience.

Preferred Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Marketing, Communication, Public Relations, Business Administration/Management, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
2-3 years of relevant experience, with at least a year in North American Truckload.
Compensation The expected starting pay range for this position is between $81,100.00 - $101,300.00, depending on skills, education, experience, and other relevant factors. This role may be eligible for annual bonuses and incentives linked to profitability and volumes.
Benefits Full‑time positions are eligible for a comprehensive benefits package, including medical, dental, and vision coverage, a 401(k) retirement plan, life insurance, short‑term and long‑term disability coverage, and generous paid time off. Additional benefits include six weeks of paid maternity leave, two weeks of paid parental leave, and six paid holidays annually.
