We're seeking a
Strategic Communications & External Engagement Lead
to support a DoD collaboration program focused on enabling secure information sharing across U.S. military and coalition partners.
This is a strategic, high-impact role where you'll shape how the program is communicated at the senior leadership level, translating complex technical initiatives into clear, compelling messaging that drives alignment, engagement, and mission success.
Responsibilities
Lead the development of executive-level communications, including white papers, strategic briefings, and program documentation
Partner directly with senior DoD leadership to craft messaging that supports program goals and priorities
Drive external engagement efforts with mission partners, stakeholders, and industry organizations
Translate complex technical concepts into clear, concise, and impactful communications for diverse audiences
Support and lead briefings, presentations, and stakeholder engagements that influence decision-making
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree
7+ years of experience in strategic communications, preferably in government or defense environments
Exceptional writing, editing, and storytelling skills with the ability to tailor messaging for senior audiences
Proven ability to translate technical content into executive-level communications
Active DoD Secret clearance (with ability to obtain Top Secret)
Preferred Qualifications
Experience supporting DoD programs or senior government stakeholders
Familiarity with CONOPS development and operational planning
Background working in technical, cybersecurity, or IT-focused environments
Strong presence and confidence in briefing senior leaders and external partners
Compensation: $125,000+
