
Senior Interior Designer / Design Manager (Head of Design Track)

About the Role
Silverstone is a boutique real estate development, construction, and design platform focused on high-end residential projects in Washington, DC. We are hiring a Senior Interior Designer / Design Manager to take ownership of interior design across multiple projects, with a defined path to Head of Design. This is a design-build oriented role requiring ownership from concept through construction and ensuring execution in the field.
What You Will Do Design Development
Translate high-level design direction into fully resolved interior schemes
Develop layouts, material strategies, and detailed Revit models
Prepare presentation materials for internal and regulatory review
Construction Documentation
Produce full interior documentation sets (typically 80–100 pages)
Develop elevations, RCPs, millwork details, bathroom layouts, and coordination drawings
Ensure all drawings are fully coordinated and buildable
Field Coordination
Conduct site visits and verify field conditions
Coordinate directly with subcontractors and fabricators
Answer RFIs and resolve issues in real time
Identify conflicts before construction
Vendor & Material Coordination
Work with vendors including millworkers, stone fabricators, and lighting suppliers
Source materials aligned with project goals
Understand procurement timelines
Leadership Track
Take increasing ownership of design direction
Help build internal systems
Participate in hiring and mentoring
Requirements
6–10+ years of experience
Advanced Revit proficiency
Experience producing full construction documentation
High-end residential experience
Field coordination experience
Strong knowledge of materials and detailing
Compensation
$100,000+ base salary, commensurate with experience
Performance-based bonus
