Position Summary

The Inside Sales Manager is responsible for leading and optimizing the daily performance of the inside sales team while ensuring strong coordination across sales, purchasing, scheduling, and operations. This role drives customer satisfaction, pricing discipline, workload balance, and sales execution by providing hands-on leadership, coaching, and oversight of key accounts. The Inside Sales Manager serves as a critical link between customers and internal teams, supports sales forecasting and management decision-making, and ensures timely resolution of customer issues, credits, and claims in alignment with company standards and objectives. General Responsibilities

The primary function of this position is to manage the performance of the Inside Sales team and to coordinate the Inside Sales team activities with Outside Sales, scheduling, purchasing, and operations. Specific Duties

Supervise Inside Sales reps to meet the duties outlined in their job description and audit their work throughout the day Set and track sales targets for the Inside Sales team Coordinate department projects to meet deadlines Report on sales metrics and suggest improvements Research and discover methods to increase customer engagement Ensure sales objectives, finance, legal and company policies, and procedures are met Build an open-communication environment for your team and foster a "feedback rich" culture. Work with Materials Manager on Customers' requirements (tons, specs, inventory and pricing) Manage specific customer accounts through phone and in-person contacts Review and approve customer claims and work with Quality on corrective and preventative actions Monitor credits to ensure they are resolved in a timely manner Conduct meetings as needed (inside sales, steering, and score) Interviewing and selecting new Inside Sales rep Train employees on basic Inside Sales approach Metals USA offers competitive wages and benefits plus upward mobility towards professional growth.
